SO – here’s the deal. We have a bunch of guildies that want to sell crowns, a bunch that want to buy crowns, and no way to get everyone linked together or provide safety and assurances you’ll get your gold or crowns, because the crowns are not trade-able, and instead it’s only crown items that are giftable. This means there’s a lot of trust needed to have a crown to gold transaction. #thanksZOS

 

Now I’m stepping in. Because, let’s be honest, I’m not after your gold or your crowns. I just like spreadsheets.

To get on the spreadsheet CONTACT ME ONLY – ideally through my acsquared account, because that’s the one I am on the most.

 

Here’s what I’m doing to add security/safety to these transactions.

 

You mail me IN GAME and tell me what you want. I add you to the spreadsheet.

Notice how they specified exactly what they want and how many crowns it is. I already know the rate per crown because we have had other transactions, but I would prefer it if the rate per crown were listed here. Other than that this is a perfect mail. See how they also specified that if there is no seller yet (sometimes it can take days to match orders) that I am to keep the gold until we have a seller.

I mail the buyer and let them know I have their gold and order in. They can also check to see if it’s on the spreadsheet.

When we have two people who meet each other’s needs I CONTACT THEM. You do not need to contact anyone but me. 

 

BUYERS: When mailing me, please tell me how many crowns you are buying. Include what the item is you’re trying to buy. Please also include the price you want to pay per crown and include the gold.

SELLERS: Please include how many crowns you want to sell, the rate you would prefer per crown, and if you will accept OBO (a best offer lowered rate).

 

I contact the person selling crowns and let them know I have the gold. They send the item in question (the item being bought) to the person that sent me gold. They send me screenshots or video OUT OF GAME showing this has happened

Here’s an example of my “order mail”. Note how I added the person’s name, the item, the number of crowns, and to let me know when they send it.

The buyer contacts me to let me know they have the item.

 

I send the gold to the seller.

 

Then I add the @names to the completed transactions part of the spreadsheet so that you can see who has finished what sales/buys.

 

And that’s it!

 

***REMEMBER*** you cannot trade crowns in ESO. You have to send an item from the crown store as a gift

FAQ:

1. you cannot forward an unclaimed gift from your account to someone else’s account. Gifts have to be sent from the seller directly to the account you want the item on
2. Crown items are BOP. This means you CANNOT pass it on
3. I’m adding a time limit to responses for crown sales. I’m not sure yet if it will be 24 hours or 48 hours. I’m leaning towards 24 hours, at least for items on sale
4. This service is for guildies only, since I am not gaining anything from the transactions there is no way I am doing the extra work for nonguildies
5. Thanks to not having everyone online at once, sometimes this process will take days to complete and not hours. Please be patient
6. You can look at the completed transactions and pick a seller/buyer if you would like, although that seller/buyer may have a transaction that is more expensive than the others
7. I am going with the cheapest sellers first, so the buyer gets the best deal.
8. IF YOU’RE BUYING A BUNDLE – and you already have one item in the bundle – ZOS WILL NOT let someone gift it to you. So you can’t get the bundle
9. Sometimes it takes days to find someone to meet your order. Especially if you want to buy or sell a lot of crowns. Be patient or find a different escrow please.

HOW TO GIFT

To send your friend a gift, navigate to the item you wish to buy in the Crown Store and select the “Purchase as Gift” option, then enter their UserID, Gamertag, or PSN ID, depending on your platform. You can then personalize your gift with a custom-made or a pre-selected message. Note that homes cannot be gifted.

ZOS’s instructions on it could use some pictures, so let me add some pictures here.

Go to the Crown Store:

For this example I’m sending someone a Crown Crate:

When you hover over the item, there’s a tab that shows up at the bottom, it says “F – Gift”

Press “F” and see this screen that pops up:

notice the “as a gift” button? make sure that’s clicked.

now, you can make sure it has been gifted here:

The gift is CASE SENSITIVE by the way, so the @name has to be entered properly!
